EVERYBODY AGAINST EVERYBODY
by Brian Baldwin on Sep.01, 2010, under 3D, motion graphics
PROOOOPS! Animatorio is quickly becoming one of my favorite motion graphic/3D studios. I love their graphical approach and animation style. Mixing 3D with 2D motion graphics always revz me up… Wow, ok I’m done.
I NOW KNOW WHAT ROCK AND ROLL IS
by Brian Baldwin on Aug.24, 2010, under youtube
So THIS is rock’n'roll! Ahhh ok, I was way off. Jokes aside, you watch this video till the end. I’ve never seen anyone go all Neil Peart on a keyboard like this!
YANKEE GAL
by Brian Baldwin on Aug.17, 2010, under animation
Sheesh, it feels like forever since my last blog post. The truth is that every time I sit down to post something, my mind goes deeper into what I want to post and end up overwhelming myself before I even get started. So, for this reason I’m going to continue to keep it simple.
(P.S. I only got this far last week before picking it up again today…)
I try and post videos that are good all the through and this most definitely fits the description! The animation style is amazing, and the story is even better. Well done to Yankee Gal team for producing such an emotional, thought provoking short!
THIS IS HIP HOP
by Brian Baldwin on Jul.21, 2010, under wtf
I think I need to sign up for this chicks class. I mean, look at how in tune she is with hip hop dance, and pretty much the entire hip hop culture. Jealous. It’s all in a plie.
NATURE BY NUMBERS

I really don’t have much to say about this piece other than the fact that I love it. Geometry and math exist everywhere we look, but we don’t always look hard enough to see it. Check out Eterea Studios for more information. Great work!
WEDDING CRASHERS
by Brian Baldwin on Jun.16, 2010, under youtube
I can’t really tell if these guys are actually trying to perform traditional Mexican dance maneuvers or if they’re just muy borracho and don’t know any better. Whichever the case may be, I can’t watch more than 10 seconds at a time without ending up in stitches.
GEDDY LEE, BEST BASS PLAYER EVER!
by Brian Baldwin on Jun.09, 2010, under Movies
If you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing the movie, “Orgazmo“, I feel bad for you. It’s stupid, crude, and irreverent, but somehow a total masterpiece!

What spurred me to write this post is my constant use of quotes that no one seems to understand… Matt Stone’s pure comedic brilliance is manifested in a character simply named, “Dave the Lighting Guy“. The name alone lets you know that his roll is going to be solid gold, but some of his quotes are laugh out loud hysterical!
I’m not going to go all Ben Lyons on this post, rather I’m just going to post a couple of videos and let you laugh for yourself.
CRATER FACE
by Brian Baldwin on Jun.03, 2010, under animation
Got to give it up to Stumble Upon. It’s pretty much the Firefox Hobbs to my Calvin. Ok enough of that bull crap, I’ll get to the point.
Last night I couldn’t sleep for jack. Blame it on my super awesome incredible miraculous goal I scored in my mens league soccer game, or on the fact that I may have mistakenly had caffeine just before hitting the rack. Either way, point is I couldn’t sleep so I turned to my best internet friend and stumbled my way through the nets for about 20 minutes before landing on this outstanding animation appropriately titled, “Crater Face”. I love the story, I love the music, and most of all I love the animation. I think what draws me to the illustration/animation style of this piece is how closely it resembles Ren & Stimpy (the greatest cartoon of all time!). After typing that last sentence I went on youtube and found this Ren & Stimpy bit that make me laugh for an hour. Enjoy this too.
LIGHT AND BOXES… AND CREATIVITY… AND TIME
by Brian Baldwin on May.17, 2010, under motion graphics, video production
Will someone PLEASE pay me to make art like this?! The amount of man hours that went into making this piece have to be in the triple digits.
This video is called “ENVISION” and it was produced by the French outfit, SUPERBIEN.
IS ANYONE SURPRISED BY THIS?

This has to stop. I’m not going to get all big-picture/revolution on you, but awareness needs to be raised.
