Seeing a Bugatti Veyron in person is about as rare as my buddy Spoon drinking out of someone else’s glass, it just doesn’t happen. I’d have to go to Scott for the specifics, but I’m pretty sure that something like only 140 of them have ever been made. That stat mixed with the fact that they cost a mil and a half should give you some insight to the rarity of this video.

My favorite part of the entire video is when the guy is like, “Someday that car is going to be mine.” – Friend asks what kind of car it is – “I think it’s a lambo…..?” HAHA, he doesn’t know what kind of car it is but he sure as shit knows that it’s expensive and exotic! My second favorite part is how the tow truck driver makes sure to wipe off his hands thoroughly before he reaches into the interior. The friggin car was just waist deep in some bog yet this guy still can’t stand the idea of getting it any more dirty.

I’m addicted to this new brand of websites that are popping up all over the webz that are purely focused on ONE thing (e.g., failblog, that will buff out, there i fixed it, not very talented…). In fact, I keep talking to my friends about ideas that I have to start one but usually never do…

My favorite blog lately has been without a doubt, Not Very Talented! I spend hours a day on youtube watching videos JUST like this, so why not get them all from one place? Watch a few of the videos below to see what I’m talking about.

HOW FRICKIN COOL IS SLO-MO?!

I mean seriously, why isn’t everything shot in slo-mo? EVERYTHING looks better slow. When we were shooting the video for Porsche (see my MOTION link above) I couldn’t get enough of the clip of the GT3RS sliding sideways in 120fps, but slow motion is way beyond that nowadays. My buddy Ian sent me the top video and it got me to thinking, “virtually everything I’ve ever seen shot in super slo-mo looks tite.” Note my examples below.

Typically, pool isn’t that interesting… But in super slow motion….

Everyone inside my circle knows that my passion for the Halo series ranks amongst the highest in all the land – along with my ability to completely pwn your ass at it. Cocky? Perhaps. Don’t believe me? Look me up on xbox live: WolfTroutCobra, and lets dance.

Ok so maybe the title is a little misleading (because I’ve only played ODST for about 3 hours EDIT: After last nights marathon the total PT is up to 6 hours!1!), but so far Halo 3: ODST is well worth the *caugh* $60 *caugh* I spent on it last night. And while $60 might seem like a lot of money to spend on a video game, I try and explain it to my wife like this, “It might seem like a lot now, but think of all the money I’ll save by staying in!”

I could turn this into a typical game review and talk about how insanely awesome the “Firefight” game mode is, or how whack the new grenade throwing trajectory is, but I’m going to take another angle and talk about how rad the marketing and advertisements have been for the Halo 3 series.

Could you imagine getting a call on some random Tuesday morning from Bungie’s marketing director asking you to produce a series of live-action Halo vignettes?!? Rumor has it that Peter Jackson was actually scheduled to direct the feature length Halo movie, but the film was put on hold most likely for some bureaucratic red tape BS…

Well in typical twentyfortyone blog fashion, I have started a post acting like I’m going to go all in depth but by the end I get bored and just want to post videos and call it good. Enjoy

I’m In The House

WOW, Long time since I’ve blogged! I would usually try and find something to blame it on like being attacked by a super mean griz, or like the netz was down for a few months…. But honestly this is all on me! So from this point forward I’m going to make an oath to blog at least twice a week till christmas. Not saying that I’m not going to throw up some laaaaame-dizzle posts to fill my quota, but I promise (all 7 of my readers) that it won’t be a waste of time to check back.

Ok, enough of the bureaucratic filler. I like to go to Borders on my lunch break and check out industry magz like Wired and Videographer just to keep the creativity flowing. Every now and again I’ll come across those random art mags (usually from the UK) that are about $15 a piece and chalk full of the coolest art you’ll never see in person. I used to have about 16 or so of them in San Francisco and would run through them every time I needed a quick hit of inspirado. Anywho, last week I browsed an issue of Whatever U Want and ended up reading an article on a 23 year old brit named James Sutton. Truth be told I’m not that into his style, but at 23 he’s KILLING right now. Check out the new Steve Aoki video he just directed.

Columbia Sportswear finally launches eComm site

Anyone who grew up in the northwest, or pretty much anywhere there is snow, has heard of Columbia Sportswear. However if you’re under 30, chances are we only know it because our parents had it. But the thing is they liked it that way. I mean if you think about it, when have you ever seen a Columbia Sportswear banner add…? My point is that for a company who makes some of the best outerwear and fishing apparel in the world, their brand had gone stale. Fast forward a few years and it’s almost like they’re a completely new company. My method of thinking is that you can sell anything to anyone as long as you market it properly, but having a good product to begin with REALLY helps.

Ok so I’m getting to the point… Columbia has really picked up their game and starting today they’re in the eComm market… Not only does the site look good, but so do the products! I really think that we’re going to start seeing a lot younger people in a lot more Columbia apparel.

Oh yeah, and If you search the site hard enough you might even find some videos I’ve made
